Each miss will cause the alarm to continue ringing, but hitting the targer will cause the alarm to cease. Depending on your skill and aim, you can choose from Normal or Hard modes, where the latter requires you to hit the target five times - hopefully not simultaneously! Definitely not my kind of alarm clock, although those who love arcade shooters might want to pick it up.
